–POST LOCKDOWN UPDATE–
We are still open and ready to keep you on the bike and off transport. But we are mainly operating a non contact service still, and have marked out the required distance on the floor. Reduced opening hours have been put in place to give us some rest while we work on limited staff. We are now 9-6 Monday-Friday. Closed Saturday/Sunday. Because most of you are now either working from home or on shift work, hopefully this doesn’t impact too much. If it does please let us know, if enough people can’t get in we will re-open Saturdays.
We know there are a lot of people issuing statements covering their COVID19 policy just now, so please bear with us for another one!
We have been monitoring the situation carefully over the last few weeks and many of you will be aware of the precautions we have put in place to reduce contact. From Tuesday 24th the shop side of the business is now closed to the public. This means you can’t pop by for a chat, to look at bikes, or buy accessories. If you need to purchase anything, please phone the shop and we can either post it out or arrange a drop off. Internet orders should be fulfilled as normal.
Our repair workshop will continue to run for as long as it’s legal and we are all healthy. There are a lot of frontline NHS and support workers local to us that rely on their bikes for transport, and we will be keeping people riding and off the busses for long as possible.
- If you want to book a repair, we are now 100% non-contact. Please book your repair over the phone – 0131 6296065 – or email – email@example.com. Phone preferred if you can.
- Once we have a day down for your bike, it will be handed over in the street. Please prop it up against the front and retreat to the recommended 2m distance.
- It will then be cleaned with an alcohol solution before we start work. All of our work is carried out wearing gloves that are changed regularly and all tools/workshop equipment are cleaned multiple times a day.
- When the repair is completed it will need to be paid for over the phone or online. Phone is easiest, but if you prefer online just let us know and we will make you a custom web item. When you come to collect it, your bike will be disinfected again and brought out to the street. Please keep a 2m distance at this time as well.
If you have a bike on order with us, everything is currently running on time (mostly!) and even Orbea are still running well through the Spanish lockdown. Again, these will need to be paid for remotely and non contact collections, so apollogies for not being able to offer our usual in depth setup process.
We also have a fantastic dedicated suspension workshop, and run a postal service for suspension work. So if you are working from home and want to get your bike tip-top, take them off and post them in! After a quick disinfect of course. More about this in another post, once we launch our online booking and revised suspension price list.
