This item is for a Pipedream Moxie V2 Rolling Chassis, with Hunt TrailWide wheels and DVO Sapphire D1 140mm 29″ fork, 44mm offset in black.
We love a good hardtail and this is one of the best. Long, slack, really decent steep seat angle and a whole lot of fun. Available as a frame only, frame/fork bundles, rolling chassis, and complete builds. They won’t be all online yet – so if you have a plan get in touch. Or even if you don’t – let us know and we can make one for you!
They say – “The Moxie has redefined what’s possible from a steel hardtail.
It takes moxie and a no-compromise approach to frame-design to develop a bike this capable. We started with a blank page, designed the frame we envisaged then had the engineers and technicians work out how to build it. Custom-made, multi-butted tubing was the only way to build avoid the use of gussets and the results are clean lines and super-strong joints. Custom CNC yokes not only enhance the performance and strength but give a distinctive aesthetic to this highly engineered frame.
Updated for 2019.
As wide profile 29er rims and tyres are now more easily available and more commonly used, the chainstays (CS) have been increased by 10mm in length to better accommodate them and create more CS/tyre clearance. The adjustable dropouts now offer CS lengths of 425-441mm (previously 415-431mm) so you can find that sweet-spot or run the bike single-speed if you’re really hardcore.
With most riders opting to use longer forks, the seat angle has been steepened. This shortens the effective top tube length (ETT) by approximately 13mm/0.5″ (without changing the reach) and keeps you more centrally positioned ‘in’ the bike instead of being pitched backwards with the longer fork. It also means your’e not as stretched-out while seated, giving greater control and maneuverability. With the steeper seat angle and shorter ETT we’ve been able to slacken the head angle for improved confidence in the steep stuff without compromising handling or the eMTB-like climbing abilities of the bike.”
